Church of St. Jacob

Prague's second largest church behind St. Vitus Cathedral is this Baroque structure with three steeples and a clock tower. The Church of St. Jacob has been rebuilt or renovated several times after fires in 1232, 1596 and 1689. Its current appearance was the result of construction between 1690 and 1702. Many important events happened in the church including the coronation and wedding celebrations for John of Luxembourg, and the funeral of Charles IV. There also are several spooky tales that have been told throughout the years about the Church of St. Jacob.
