Taking place each day at 11:30 a.m., you might want to get there a little early to make sure you get a good view of this fun little event. Crowds can be massive as this is quite possibly Europe’s most famous free event.

• The Roman Forum – The central marketplace of Rome was the central marketplace in ancient times. Wander the streets and imagine what it was like to live in ancient times straight out of your history books.

• Notre Dame Cathedral – Appreciate this magnificent structure free of charge and witness one of the most beautiful structures on the planet. Pay a small fee and you’ll be able to climb the towers and/or visit the museum, too. Just make sure to note that a lot of people visit Notre Dame in the summer months, so be prepared to spend a little time waiting in line.

• Westminster Abbey – Admission fees apply to this one, however those that choose to worship there can get in free. Make your way there to hear the Abbey Choir perform on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 5 pm or 3 pm on Saturdays or Sundays.
