Summary of The Day: Departing from Athens, we will travel west along the scenic coast until we reach the stunning Corinth Canal, where we'll stop for a short while to take in the view. A short drive brings us to the ancient town of Corinth, once one of the wealthiest cities in the known world. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the remains of the huge Agora (marketplace) and the Temple of Apollo. Ancient Corinth was the home of the Apostle St. Paul for two years. It was here that he wrote the 1st and 2nd Thessalonians (AD 52). Following our visit to Corinth, we'll make a brief stop at the ancient port of Kechreai before returning to Athens.
