Day1 LAS VEGAS-ST. GEORGE-RICHFIELD
Your fun tour starts from Las Vegas. Please meet tour guide at 3:00 pm in Tropicana Hotel bus parking lot. Day2 ARCHES NATIONAL PARK-ROCKY MOUNTAIN-DENVER
In the morning we go to Arches National Park, which has the world's largest concentration of natural sandstone arches. Within this national park of 73,000 acres one finds more than six hundred natural rock arches of different shapes and sizes. The erosive forces of wind and water have created a wonderland of rock formations, some resembling lofty spires, some like windows, one that looks like an elder admonishing his two associates, one that looks like a whale's eyes, others that look like doughnuts, and so forth. We then enter Colorado and sleep overnight in Denver City.
Hotel: Red Lion Inn, Denver or Similar
Day3 DENVER-CRAZY HORSE-MT. RUSHMORE-DEADWOOD
Setting out early in the morning, we head toward Wyoming, the homeland of the Western cowboy. After that we go to see the most famous native Ameircan memorial park- Crazy Horse, then, visit world-famous mountain carvings of four American presidents at Mt. Rushmore. Four American presidents are depicted: George Washington, founding father of the United States; Thomas Jefferson, who drafted the Declaration of Independence; Theodore Roosevelt, envoy of peace; and Abraham Lincoln, who fought to emancipate the black slaves in the United States. We will have dinner in the big Western town of Deadwood , the main street of which is lined with a colorful variety of casinos, restaurants, bars and stores that make one reluctant to leave. We take night lodgings in Deadwood.
Hotel: Franklin Hotel, Deadwood or Similar
Day4 DEADWOOD-YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
We proceed to the Bighorn Indian Reservation area, where the main scenes of the film "Dancing with Wolves" were shot, and cross the Rocky Mountain range-the Continental Divide of the United States-to enter a world of lush greenery at Yellowstone National Park. This ancient volcanic region, a quarter the size of Taiwan, is the world's first national park as well as the biggest wild animal preserve in the United States. Here we see trout straining upstream in clear rivulets and lush prairies with bison and deer grazing on them. This is also the home of black bears, Grizzly bears, moose, and a variety of rare waterfowl. The scenes here intoxicate one with poetic feelings of "a solitary swan flying in the sunset; the autumn waters blending into the horizon." We stay overnight at Yellowstone National Park.
Hotel: Yellowstone Park Inn & Suites or Similar
Day5 YELLOWSTONE-GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK-POCATELLO
We visit the Yellowstone park with it romantic Yellowstone Lake, its terraced warm springs, its marvelous Old Faithful geyser, its magnificent canyons, the thundering Yellowstone waterfall, its quiet and mysterious forests, the Fishing Bridge that rises amid the mountains and lake waters, and the rumbling volcanic craters. In the afternoon we drive along Snake River Valley to the Grand Teton National Park where we are greeted with the sight of soaring mountain peak rising from the Jackson canyon and covered with a never-melting ice cap. We then arrive at Jackson, a typical little Western city and the hometown of "Harrison Ford."This town of some four thousand residents is redolent of the legendary patina of "The Raiders of the Lost Ark"in which he played a lead role and is filled with specialty stores. We spend the night at Pocatello.
Hotel: Ramada Inn, Pocatello or Similar
Day6 SALT LAKE CITY-LAS VEGAS
We then go to Salt Lake City, capital city of Utah and the holy city of the Mormon religion. The city owes it construction to the efforts of followers of the Mormon faith. Their spirit of devotion played a key part in building such a modern industrialized city on a barren stretch of land surrounded with deserts and salty waters. We visit the temple square in the center of the city. In the afternoon you may visit the Bingham Canyon Copper Mines-the largest open-pit copper mines in the world-where you can observe its operations and watch a spell-binding film about the mine. Then, we proceed with eager expectations to Las Vegas, the Pearl in the Desert. In the daytime Las Vegas presents a typical desert scene, but at night it becomes the world's largest center for audio-visual spectacles. In the evening we arrive at Las Vegas, we find out why this city has been called the "The entertainment capital of the world "and for good reason. We stay overnight at Las Vegas.
