The food is great. The scenery is breathtaking. Hawaii is a traveler's playground, but the hotels we stayed at were less than splashy. I guess it's okay though, the tour package was still a bargain.

I never knew that Hawaii had so many places to see and do that were not only situated on the beach but throughout many cities and beautiful scenery. Visiting Pearl Harbor was quite emotional because I had previously only read about the USS Arizona battleship in textbooks and it was quite fascinating to see up close. I also enjoyed visiting Honolulu by myself because my wife and I were able to eat a leisurely lunch and get some souvenir shopping in. The Halona Blowhole offered a great scenic view of the ocean and we loved taking photos from the Pali Lookout near the mountains. But our favourite part of this tour was our visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center. The show there was simply spectacular and I learnt a lot about different groups of Polynesian people like the Samoans and the Tahitians- very interesting. I thought that Maui was only going to be loaded with tourists and that's it, but I was mistaken. There was much more to see- we enjoyed its tropical botanical garden and the Whaler's Village. The Big Island was excellent; we especially liked the Black Sand Beach and the volcanoes.

I'm glad I spent my vacation in Hawaii instead of at home in Boston, where the temperatures are becoming winter-like. This tour was wicked sweet. My wife and I couldn't get enough of the beautiful ocean views! We both really enjoyed visiting the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. Pearl Harbor can feel a little haunted, but it's an experience my wife and I will never forget. We came back with plenty of pictures and great memories. We're already thinking of doing another Hawaii tour in May.

this trip was so easy going and relaxing. i liked that our tour guide spent more time and care with us (because we were a group of 8) and even took us to local restaurants that hawaiians go to. the food was great and inexpensive. i loved the fresh fruit and the environment. the lychee ice cream was my fav at the macadamia nut farm. oh, and the shopping center for all the tourists was cool also. it was so dark it almost seemed underground. watching the people make the candles was kind of entrancing. we even got to see whales in the ocean. supposedly march is the coolest time (around 68-70 degrees F) in hawaii, but it was still warm enought for us to swim in the water. the walk on the volcano was so much fun. you can still feel the heat of the volcano through my sneakers. we threw a lei out for pele the volcano goddess for good luck. the trip was great! i want to go back already.
