Summary of The Day: Today your journey along the Garden Route will begin! We'll pick you up from your hotel and depart in our luxury air-conditioned vehicle.
Our journey we'll lead us along the scenic, mountain wine route of the Franschhoek Pass, with an optional stop for Wine tasting at one wine estate. Passing through the picturesque Theewaterskloof Dam, we will connect with the N2 just before the town of Caledon. There will be frequent stops along the way.
After lunch at the beautiful Drostdy Restaurant in Swellendam, we'll proceed to Albertinia and visit the Aloe Vera Factory for a 20 minute stop, complete with a complimentary cup of coffee and time for shopping.
Our next stop will be Mossel Bay where we will smell and come into contact for the first time with the majestic Indian ocean. We will explore the Mossel Bay area with the highlights as follows: The Post Office Tree, the Bartholomew Diaz Museum complex and the St. Blaize light house. From there we will overnight in Mossel Bay.
Summary of The Day: After breakfast we will travel to Botlierskop Game Farm (which starts at 9:00) for a breathtaking 3-hour game drive safari in an open 4×4 truck. This is a unique occasion to fully experience the Big Five animals like never before.
After the Safari we will travel inland through the Robinson Pass at 860 meters above sea level towards Oudtshoorn, which is famous for the numerous Ostriches that reside here and the Cango Caves. Our first stop here will be at the Safari Ostrich Farm. Here you will have to opportunity to see, feed, touch, ride and kiss the Ostriches.
From here we'll travel to the Cango Wildlife Ranch, the largest and oldest cheetah sanctuary in the world. Here we'll learn about the ranch's efforts to protect and care for over 60 species of animals, including the largest population of crocodiles. We'll have a stunning experience here as we wander through the park's amazing exhibit, including Cheetahland, Lemur Falls, Kuranda Forest, and more!
We'll continue from here to the famous Cango Caves for a guided tour of these limestone caverns.
Then we'll check into our accommodations in Oudtshoorn and enjoy dinner.
Summary of The Day: Today we'll head out after breakfast towards Knysna, aka the Jewel of the Garden Route. We'll travel through the Outeniqua Pass and the 4 Passes situated at 800 meters above sea level. We'll make frequent stops along the way to photograph the region.
For this leg of our journey we will drive through the towns of Wilderness, Sedgefield, and Knysna, while enjoying love views of the lakes and rivers. Then we will arrive at Plettenburg Bay to visit the Elephant Sanctuary for an hour.
From here we will head towards the Storms River Mouth to have lunch at the Cattle Baron Restaurant. After lunch we'll take a guided walk tot he Storms River Suspension Bridge for unmatched views of the Storms River Mouth.
Afterwards we'll return to Knysna to check into our hotel and have dinner.
Summary of The Day: On the final day of the tour we'll head to the Knysna Heads and drive to the top of one of the Heads for a stunning view of the coast before heading down to the beach to appreciate the beauty of mother nature.
From here we'll head to the Garden of Eden for a short, 15 minute walking tour. We'll also get to spend an hour at the Birds of Eden and Monkeyland Sanctuary to learn about the local wildlife.
After lunch we'll head down the N2 back to Cape Town.
