San Francisco - Monterey (SUN) or Los Angeles - Santa Barbara (WED)

Hotel: Camping or similar

Sunday Departures - From San Francisco

Bid farewell to the City by the Bay and head south to discover the treasures of the California Coast. Keep an eye out for quaint produce stands filled with artichokes and for hang gliders floating over the Pacific Ocean along Highway 1. Your first stop will be Silicon Valley and the Computer History Museum (entrance included), and then a quick stop to the Google Campus and Visitor Center. You’ll have lunch in Palo Alto.

In the afternoon, prepare to hit the ground running as you head to Monterey. Explore the bay by kayak or stand-up paddleboard, or simply stroll along the coast. If you’d rather get a closer look at what is beneath the water (like the world’s largest octopus), head over to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. And, of course, you’ll have to check out historic Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf. Adventure, history and clam chowder await!

Wednesday Departures - From Los Angeles

Start your day heading north out the heart of Hollywood and toward the beautiful American Riviera and the city of Santa Barbara. Your options abound in Santa Barbara. If the sun, sand and ocean are calling your name, rent a stand up paddleboard or just soak it all in and relax at the beach. Looking to fit in some last minute shopping? You’ll want to stroll through the many boutiques along State Street.

If you prefer to visit the Old Mission Santa Barbara or to take another hike, your guide will lead the way. No matter what you choose, you are sure to enjoy spending the day in this quaint California town. Later this afternoon, our group will roll into America's Happiest City, San Luis Obispo!.

Tips:
