French Festival in Little Paris 8/3~8/7
Every summer for 14 years now, the SAQ New France Festival has celebrated the history of the First Nations and the first European settlers (400 years ago) in North America with a fun and thrilling program for young and old alike. It takes visitors on an unforgettable journey to the early years of North America. With thousands of costumed festival-goers, parades and more than 500 artistic presentations and activities in the streets, you'll feel like a festival! You'll find yourself in an authentic setting with its unique fortifications and 300-year-old buildings. Day 1 BOSTON - QUEBEC (QUEBEC PROVINCE)
From Boston cross the state of New Hampshire and Vermont, pass by the beautiful Lake Champlain and New York up state, we'll arrive Quebec province of Canada. Visit Olympic Village, the tallest incline tower - Olympic Tower. We will take the cable car and land at Montreal Tower Observatory. It is located in the highest inclined tower in the world, with its 175-metre elevation and 45-degree angle. The Tower of Pisa, by comparison, has a 5-degree angle. The Observatory is at the top of a building that, in and of itself, totals 14,606 square metres and weighs 16,363 metric tons-comparable to 3 aircraft carriers. Then we will visit St. Joseph Oratory, Mount Royal and Old Montreal. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2 QUEBEC CITY - (ST. LOUIS GATE - CHATEAU FRONTENAC - LOUIS XIV SQUARE)
Heading to Canada's oldest city, Quebec City. We will visit the La Citadel and changing of the Guards at 10am . This colourful, precisely choreographed ceremony involves the inspection of the troops by the officers, music by the Royal 22e Regiment Band, and the regimental mascot, Batisse the goat. After eploring the fort, we will then go to visit the magnificent Montmorency Falls. We will take a cable car ride up to the top of the falls and overlook the natural beauty. A French style lunch could be arranged near Louis XIV Square. Our tour guide will take you explore the boardwalk overlooking the old port of Quebec and St. Lawrence River and also visit the famous French style retail street Petite De Champlain. Guranteed French experience before we leave for dinner and hotel for the day.
Day 3 AUSABLE CHASM - LAKE GEORGE - MINIHAHA STEAM BOAT - BOSTON
Our tour guide will bring you back to the U.S. for one of the oldest attractions - Ausable Chasm. The amazing sights of the chasm will take your breath away. as you walk our nature trails in the midst of a primeval Adirondack Forest. Stroll past Rainbow Falls, Elephant's Head, Column Rock, Hyde's Cave and the eerie quiet of Mystic Gorge. Descend hundreds of feet to walk on natural stone walkways and gaze upon eons of geologic history etched in stone. We also could add scenic raft ride and float the legendary waters of the Ausable River through a maze of breathtaking rock formations sculpted over thousands of years by the river's currents.Tour will continue the next attraction - Lake George. We will take a Scenic cruise of beautiful & historic Lake George on board our Authentic Paddlewheel Steamboat, the Minne-Ha-Ha. This one hour cruise on the crystal clear waters of Lake George explores the southern half of Lake George where large historic mansions line the shores below scenic mountains. Lake George is alive with history. Tour ends with return to departure locations at approx. 8:30pm. |
