This was an interesting way to see California at a very fast pace.
If it was on the printed itinerary you saw it and was told about it, if it popped up along the way, no one knew what it was. EG, the Dam for the water supply to LA was not ..commented on until I asked about it. As was the area of the Bay of San Francisco where the land was divided into squares beside a very low roadway, on the way to Stamford University. No one knew why.
We had been warned about the dual language, english/chinese so this was not a drama, in fact was very interesting.
The guides, on the whole were good, with Michael, the guide we had to San Francisco, Yosemite and back to LA, exceptional.
The accommodation everywhere was comfortable.
The availability of food on the tour became repetetive with repeated visits to Chinese Buffets. I am sure even the Chinese people on the tour became frustrated with this.. After the 3rd one, we gave up and ate away from the tour for lunches etc.
The only complaint I would have with any of the Hotels we stayed at would be that the Howard Johson Hotel at Anaheim seemed very slapdash about making their dinner menu available and treated you with surprise that you would want to eat there. Often the food on the menu was not available after the orders were taken.
Those things aside, we enjoyed the tour very much and would use the company again.
Be aware that on top of the cost of the tour you will be required to pay a fee to the tour bus driver and tour guide every day. This is in small print on your itinerary and adds quite considerably to the costs you will incur. It would be better if these charges were included in the cost of the tour.
