Summary of The Day: We'll visit the Girona Province coastline, christened Costa Brava due to its unique rock formations, composed of small coves surrounded by pine forests.
On this full-day tour, we will discover the southern part of the coast via the crown jewels: Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar.
After one hour and 15 minutes on the motorway we will arrive at Lloret de Mar, the most popular destination along Costa Brava. You will have about an hour to explore this colorful and dynamic village.
Along its unique promenade, you will be able to enjoy impressive views of the beach stretching from Lloret to Sa Caleta. In addition, two small hills on both edges of the promenade offer an even more privileged vista onto the surroundings.
Walking through Lloret's narrow streets, which still retain vestiges of its maritime past, you'll get a chance to browse the myriad items for sale: from the latest brands to typical beach wear.
In the middle of the most famous shopping street, you will also be able to admire architectural jewels such as Saint Roma Church with its distinct Modernist flair, and inside the church, an immaculately preserved 16th-century altarpiece.
At approximately 10:50am, we'll board a Dofi Jet boat bound for the neighboring village of Tossa de Mar. During the boat trip you will gain a better appreciation of the unique landscape of Costa Brava: a procession of huge cliffs in fanciful forms shaped over the centuries by the strength of sea and wind.
At about 12:00pm, we will arrive at the emblematic village of Tossa de Mar, the Pearl of Costa Brava.
Outside its walls is the traditional fishing neighborhood known as Sa Roqueta, which still maintains the maritime atmosphere of the typical Costa Brava village.
We'll take a walking tour of Tossa de Mar starting from the beach, following the fortified perimeter up to the lighthouse. Then we'll walk through the narrow streets and stony houses of Vila Vella until we get to the fishing district. Then we will break for free time and lunch (own expense).
We'll regroup at 3:00pm and head back to Barcelona, arriving at around 4:30pm.
The tour concludes at Carrer de Balmes, 5, Barcelona, Spain.
