Leaving in the morning, we head for California Adventure Park-the newest theme park designed by the world-famous Disney Corporation. This theme park, which was formally opened to the public on February 8, 2002, was constructed with the aim of celebrating the spirit of California. There is a vast 3D cinema theater seating 2,000, a rollercoaster ride that accelerates from zero to 55 mph in five seconds, a Golden State dream tour, and a space launcher that zooms 180 feet into the air in 2 seconds and gives one the exhilarating sense of riding on a space shuttle.
